There are few things that feel more self-centred that creating a website devoted to yourself. Every step in the process makes one reconsider it, from trying to find mildly flattering photographs to posting content that hasn’t gone through the traditional filters of editors and publishers. The question is always: who’s going to care?
And the truth is, I don’t know if anyone else will care, or will bother to read any of the content here. But ultimately, the answer is that I need my own space to consolidate and organize my thoughts and work.
I’m a lawyer by trade, although for various reasons, I’m currently taking a self-imposed break from the law. I practised as an advertising and entertainment lawyer, and while I will don’t plan on discussing esoteric legal issues at length, my experience in copyright and entertainment certainly does dovetail with the video game industry on a number of issues. But that aside, my plan for this time off is to explore my other interests in greater depth, and to focus on producing what I love rather than what I can immediately bill for.
So if you’re reading this, I hope you take a moment to browse what’s here, and if you have any interesting projects you think I could assist with, feel free to contact me.
